Second Generation BMR482 Series Cost Effective DC/DC Converters with Scalable Multi-Phase Design for Data Centers and Cloud Computing

BMR482 Series Isolated DC/DC Converter
BMR482 Series Isolated DC/DC Converter

BMR482 introduced by the Flex power module is the company’s second generation of direct conversion isolated DC/DC converter. The device is able to convert 48V supply to the load voltage directly without any intermediate stage. This helps in achieving high efficiency up to 91.3% in a compact package.

With a 0.8V output at 53Vin, the single-stage BMR482 occupies only 50% of the board space than the conventional two-stage solution. In a 30x 12.7x 16.8mm package, the device integrates a digital interface for monitoring, configuration, and control, at it can deliver a maximum output of 110A. If a user needs a higher output current, the device can be modified to deliver 660A of output current by adding up to five satellite modules within the package size of 30x 12.7 x 15.4mm.

With a 40-60V input range, the BMR482 has a programmable 0.5-1.35V output voltage and delivers 1500V isolation from input to output. Along with fast load transient response and high current monitoring accuracy, the device also delivers excellent thermal performance and over 13.1M hours of mean time between failure(MTBF).
