PSoC 64 Secure MCUs from Infineon technologies with ultra-low-power PSoC 6 architecture are the well-structured open-source IoT platform software, developed to help IoT device makers to securely design, manage, and update IoT products without customizing security firmware.

Ideal for automotive, industrial, and IoT markets, the Trusted Firmware-M embedded security, Arm Mbed IoT OS, and Arm Pelion IoT platform has dual-core architecture and is ideal for establishing isolated processing environments. The Cortex-M4 processor is used to establish a Non-Secure Processing Environment (NSPE) and the Cortex-M0+ is used to establish a Secure Processing Environment (SPE) through the use of protection units built into PSoC 6.  Trusted Firmware-M running in the SPE communicates to the NSPE through a hardware-based Inter-Processor Interface (IPC).

The newly introduced Pelion-Ready and Mbed OS-Enabled solution demonstrates industry best practices for security by reaching PSA Certified Level 1. Implementing Trusted Firmware-M with PSoC 64 helps in simplifying device security implementation significantly. Besides, the MCUs deliver configurable components that enable PSA Functional APIs and create a ‘Secure Processing Environment’ (SPE) for Arm Cortex-M-based microcontrollers.

PSoC 64 is part of the IoT-AdvantEdge solution which is a comprehensive set of building blocks that enables IoT products to get to market faster and more cost-effectively. IoT-AdvantEdge simplifies the design experience by delivering unfailing connectivity combined with security and local processing in an integrated solution.

The cost-effective hardware platform allows the design and debug of the PSoC 64 Secure Boot MCU and the Murata Type 1DX Module (CYW4343W Wi-Fi + Bluetooth Combo Chip).
