230MHz to 5420MHz Voltage Controlled Oscillators with Phase Noise and Harmonic Suppression

Fairview Microwave has introduced 15 new models of Voltage Controlled Oscillators (VCOs) designed to address a wide range of SATCOM, Electronic Warfare, VSAT, ECM, radar, and test and measurement applications. The new devices were designed to cover broad frequency bands and to exhibit excellent tuning linearity, phase noise, and harmonic suppression performance.

With the ability to generate their own output signal level, these new VCOs allow the designers to acquire a desired signal level across a specific frequency band by varying the Output signal oscillation frequency while adjusting the turning voltage. These oscillators can be used as signal sources in phase-locked loop circuits, frequency synthesizers and function generators, and are ideal for signal conversion applications in transceiver circuits and test and measurement.

With 0 dBm to +9 dBm output power ranging the new VCOs cover broad frequency bands ranging from 230MHz to 5420MHz and offers exceptional phase noise performance as low as -110 dBc/Hz at 10 KHz offset. With integrated internal voltage regulation and reverse DC protection, this rugged MIL-grade, aluminium, compact coaxial packed VCOs were designed for high reliability and meet a series of environmental conditions for vibration, altitude, shock and humidity.
